Historic Naval Bases

The institute has conducted investigation and research on naval bases spread across the country as a part of the recording and conservation project for maritime remains since 2007. The Investigations are currently being conducted on naval bases in Gyeonggi-do, from 2019-2021. 17 targets for investigation were specified through document research, and 9 locations of the initial 17 targets confirmed evidence of remains such as fortress walls, etc. in 2019. The document research and field study are to be continued through 2020-2021, and a report that puts together the results of the investigations is planned for publishing.
